Sometimes startups get lucky. Example: Hart-Boillot, which spun out of Rainier Corp. [Adweek, Oct. 25], has quickly picked up agency of record chores for a new networking consultancy, Belenos Inc.
It turns out the two-person shop in Waltham, Mass., has won more than it expected.
The Quincy, Mass.-based client last week secured $7 million in financing from First Union Capital Partners, a significant portion of which will be spent on advertising and collateral through Hart-Boillot, said client official Joe Nahill.
“I like being a charter client,” Nahill said, noting that Hart-Boillot’s “hungry” startup status was perceived as one of the
agency’s strengths.
