Changes at AdweekMedia

NEW YORK Nielsen Business Media’s Marketing and Media Group, which houses Adweek, Mediaweek, Brandweek, Editor & Publisher and other businesses, announced changes today on the AdweekMedia sales side and with its Marketing y Medios brand, according to Sabrina Crow, svp, Nielsen Business Media.

After a 15-year tenure, Wright Ferguson has decided to leave his post as evp, chief revenue officer of the AdweekMedia group. Ferguson was instrumental in growing Adweek magazine dramatically during his time with the company. An active search for a new publisher for Adweek is under way.

Separately, MyM, a monthly section devoted to Hispanic marketing, media and agency news that appeared in select issues of Adweek, Mediaweek and Brandweek, will cease publication, effective with the current issue. Each publication will continue to aggressively report on Hispanic communications, covering it as part of the general marketplace.

The group will continue to produce online news and conferences targeting the Hispanic community, including the upcoming Hispanic Marketer of the Year in November.
