LOS ANGELES Carpet One has narrowed its search for an agency to six shops, according to Select Resources International in West Hollywood, Calif., which is leading the review.

They are: the incumbent, the Ocean Group in New York; Berenter, Greenhouse & Webster, New York; Campbell-Ewald and Colby & Partners, both in Santa Monica, Calif.; Doner, Southfield, Mich.; and Modernista! in Boston.

Billings are estimated at $20 million, although some sources have said that figure could increase to $50 million [Adweek, Jan.
