Six Flags California has appointed Sue Carpenter to the position of public relations manager. Her primary duties include all public relations and publicity programs for the Valencia, Calif., family theme park, such as media and community relations, new attraction introductions and special events for Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor waterpark. Formerly the director of sports communications for the Portland Trail Blazers, Carpenter replaces Andy Gallardo, who left the company.
