Carat Fusion Names CD

BOSTON Digital marketing agency Carat Fusion said it has named Eric Beacom creative director, a new position in its 80-person office here.

Beacom was previously a senior principal design consultant at netNumina Solutions in Cambridge, Mass. He also has worked as a brand identity and design consultant and previously held positions at The Screen House and Krent/Paffett, both in Boston, and Jon Roll & Associates in Cambridge.

“Eric brings exceptional creative talent and seasoned design management experience to this role,” said Mike Yapp, executive vice president and national creative director at Carat Fusion, in a statement.

“My varied creative background is in perfect alignment with our overall service strategy,” Beacom said. His experience includes branding and identity design, multimedia and Web development for companies such as Airwalk, BellSouth, Fidelity Investments, GoldmanSachs, Hasbro and Pfizer.

Carat Fusion’s Boston office works for clients including America Online, Cablevision, Motorola, RadioShack and Wachovia. The agency’s ultimate parent is Aegis Group in London.
