Car Rack Maker Engages Mullen For Public Relations

Thule U.S., a manufacturer of car racks, roof-top boxes and accessories, has tapped Mullen to launch a national public relations campaign.

Mullen is charged with introducing Thule’s 2001 product line to outdoor trade, business and consumer media through a media relations campaign, beginning this month at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Wenham, Mass., agency won the account reportedly due to its history of brand-building clients such as Polartec, Swiss Army Brands and Salomon Ski.

Thule, Seymour, Conn., also last week announced that it named Jonathan Banks as vice president of sales and marketing and promoted T.J. Hanson to director of marketing.
