CHICAGO Capital One has shifted its $170 million account from Interpublic Group’s McCann Erickson to DDB here, which will work with roster shop and sister Omnicom Group agency Element 79 Partners, the client confirmed.

The McLean, Va.-based financial holding company made the move without a review, a client representative said.

McCann has held the business since April 2003, when it won a review over finalists including Element 79 in Chicago.

Sources said the relationship with McCann had soured over the last several months, but could not offer specifics.
