NEW YORK The International Advertising Festival is introducing several changes into next year’s competition in Cannes.

A new awards category has been created: the Promo Lions will honor creative excellence in sales promotion, which includes retail marketing, environmental design and in-store advertising and media.

In addition, the Outdoor & Press category will be separated and a distinct jury and president will judge outdoor only. The Film and Press categories will have one jury president to preside over both categories.
