A new movie called Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar, billed as escapist entertainment for Galentine’s Day, is a surreal candy-colored mashup of buddy comedy and crime thriller with random musical numbers thrown in for good measure. It even had a Stranger Things-inspired trailer.

Sound like a head trip?

Then the flick’s cross-promotion with a Los Angeles cannabis dispensary chain makes perfect sense.

To hype Barb & Star’s debut Friday on digital platforms, Hollywood studio Lionsgate is partnering with Sweet Flower retail for a movie-themed goodie bag.
