Campbell Mithun’s Chicago GM to Retire

CHICAGO Tom Hayden, general manager of Campbell Mithun here, is retiring from the agency at the end of the year, according to the shop.

“I’ve been in the agency business for 27 years,” Hayden said in a statement. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to expand my teaching responsibilities and extend my commitment to the various boards I serve on.”

Hayden, 52, serves on the boards of the Harris Associates Investment Trust and He is also an adjunct lecturer at Northwestern University.

With his retirement, the office will be led by a team comprised of Mark Williams, svp of account management and development; Mary Krueger, svp of media and client services; and Mike Powell, executive creative director. The team will report to Don Kvam, an evp at the agency’s Minneapolis headquarters.

“We have a talented team of very experienced, senior people in Chicago,” said agency CEO Les Mouser. “We remain committed to maintain and continuing to develop a strong office and presence in Chicago.”

CM’s major Chicago clients include the National Pork Board, Mutual of Omaha, Rustoleum Brands, Rich Products and Dairy Management Incorporated.
