The Meka Group, an $18 million Hispanic marketing communications agency in Miami, has been purchased by BVK/McDonald of Milwaukee.
The new entity will be called BVK/MEKA and will serve existing clients of both companies. It will also as act as headquarters for BVK’s domestic Hispanic accounts and Pan-American regional clients.
The two shops were introduced when they shared work for a medical client.
“We were working on Tenet Healthcare when BVK won their national business, and we started a working relationship about a year ago,” said Meka founder Manuel Ma-chado.
