When the publishers of Business 2.0 heard about a little-known degenerative brain disorder called Huntington’s Disease, they decided to put their magazine where their mouth was.

The San Francisco-based magazine opted to host a weeklong online auction recently, offering two premium ad pages for its Nov. 14 issue. Profits will be donated to the Hunting ton’s Disease Society of America—a nonprofit organization that raises money to find a cure.

The auction was launched in conjunction with Yahoo! Auctions, and the pages will be positioned opposite the masthead and the opening of the popular Ebusiness section.

Said Business 2.0 vp of marketing Diane Carlson, “We were looking for something that was different and where we can make a big impact.”
