Burger King will be the first to team up with Angry Birds creators Rovio Entertainment and tech developer Zappar to deliver an immersive augmented reality (AR) experience as part of its King Jr kids meals.

Through the packaging or accompanying merchandise bearing a QR code and Zappar’s WebAR technology via mobile phone, the user will be able to merge both their reality with the world of Angry Birds.

The code will also be available through Angry Birds plush toy tags, box packaging and in-restaurant signage within participating Burger King locations.
