Bronner To Open London Office; Adds Vice President, Prudential

Prudential Insurance Co. of America is the newest blue-chip client to hire Bronner Slosberg Humphrey.
The shop has picked up “a small project” from the Newark, N.J.-based client, said agency president David Kenny, who declined to elaborate.
Handled by Bronner Slosberg’s main office in Boston, the assignment is believed to include direct mail and database marketing and have a budget in the low seven-figure range.
Prudential executives did not return calls by press time.
In addition, Bronner Slosberg plans to open a London office in 1999, agency chairman Michael Bronner said last week.
Numerous existing clients have been asking for global support from the agency, which sees expansion into markets overseas as an opportunity for growth.
Adding top-flight managers also remains a high priority for the direct marketing agency. Bronner Slosberg’s latest hire is Marc Williams, who will soon join firm’s New York office as vice president and creative director, working mainly on the American Express account. He had been with Wunderman Cato Johnson in New York, working as a group creative director on AT&T assignments.
Client acquisitions in the packaged-goods and travel fields are high on Bronner Slosberg’s wish list.
