The British marketing sector has welcomed the potential of a delay and potential review into the introduction of the high sugar (HFSS), salt and fat foods advertising ban that is still on course for the beginning of 2023.

On Jan. 1, the British government is set to introduce a 9 p.m. TV watershed and outright online ban of advertising such foods, but now health minister Sajid Javid has been given powers to postpone the measures, should the timeframe not prove manageable.
