BrightHouse Promotes in Print

ATLANTA BrightHouseLive has created an advertising campaign to introduce a Georgia Commerce Group Web site that promotes business among in-state companies, the agency said.

The first print ads for the Atlanta group’s began running this week in the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The half-page ad is scheduled to appear in the weekly business journal seven more times this year.

Next month, GCG will launch a direct mail campaign aimed at 40,000 business owners in the state, urging them to join the Web site. Radio and outdoor advertising will be introduced next year.

The Web site was developed and launched by Critical 3 Marketing in Atlanta and Placebo Code in Chattsworth, Ga., respectively.

BrightHouseLive, an Atlanta independent shop, is producing the ad campaign pro bono. GCG is paying for the media placement.

GCG, a for-profit enterprise that charges companies to be included on the Web site, gives 5 percent of its profits to children’s charities in Georgia.

Jay Clark, chairman and chief executive of GCG, said he expects to expand the service to other states. He has licensed the business model to a Texas company that plans to launch a similar Web site,, next month.
