Bratz, He-Man Populate Happy Meals Promo

CHICAGO McDonald’s Corp. launched a new toy promotion today for its Happy Meals backed by national TV advertising from Leo Burnett and Hispanic agency dRM DDB, the restaurant chain said.

Starting today through May 29, children can receive one of eight fashion-forward Bratz collectibles by MGA Entertainment or one of eight action-packed He-Man and the Masters of the Universe figures from Mattel in McDonald’s Happy Meals.

Both sets of promotional figures will be available at participating McDonald’s nationwide while supplies last.

The Oak Brook, Ill., fast-food chain always looks for “hot toys” to feature in its Happy Meals that appeal to both girls and boys, said Karlin Linhardt, senior director of kids and family marketing, in a statement.

Both agencies are located in Chicago.
