Bouchez Kent, Select Vie for Stetson

NEW YORK The review for the creative portion of Coty Perfume’s $10 million Stetson account is down to finalist Bouchez Kent + Co. and eleventh-hour contender Select Communications, a Coty roster shop, sources said.

The New York-based client had been considering four shops, including 10-year incumbent Della Femina Rothschild Jeary & Partners and Gotham, both in New York, and Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis. Following final presentations by three of the agencies last month, Eric Thoreux, president of Coty Beauty Americas, invited Select Communications to submit additional ideas, sources said.

Select, with offices in New York, Paris and London, launched Jennifer Lopez’s fragrances, Glow and Still, and handles advertising for Coty brand Cool Water.

Agencies either could not be reached or declined comment. Consultancy Roth Associates in New York, which is conducting the review, was not available.

Coty executive Steven Brodeck said, “We haven’t made a decision yet,” but declined further comment. An official statement will be released next week, he said.
