A couple of Russian media personalities are in Boston this month as part of a U.S. Information Agency educational grant administered by Fitchburg State College.
Elena Shmoulevich and Natalia Michina are producers and on-air hosts with Grand TV, a privately owned station in Kirov, Russia. Michina helms a Martha Stewart-type show about interior design, child rearing and healthcare. Shmoulevich oversees a financial news program similar to PBS-TV’s Wall Street Week in Review.
The two are visiting Ingalls Advertising, Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos and NBC affiliate WHDH-TV, all in Boston, for a crash course in American commercial production, media planning and client relations.
