NEW YORK E-mail deliverability firm Return Path said it bought the Bonded Sender white list program from e-mail security firm IronPort Systems.

Bonded Sender allows marketers to put up a bond to improve their chances of e-mail delivery. The bond is debited if an Internet service provider receives complaints about the marketer’s commercial e-mail. Return Path executives estimated about 35 percent of all e-mail in-boxes, including those operated by Microsoft’s Hotmail, are protected by Bonded Sender.
