Bolin Lands Bloomington Tourism Business

CHICAGO The Bloomington Convention and Visitors Bureau said it has awarded its advertising account to Bolin Marketing following a three-month review.

The Minneapolis agency will provide strategic planning, creative and promotional campaigns and media buying and planning. “They showed us that they understood the industry, and how we might better generate leads to Bloomington hotels,” said Jan Kroells, vice president of marketing for the BCVB, in a statement.

Bolin plans to launch a new campaign in the spring or summer. Spending was not disclosed.

The BCVB is dedicated to promoting tourism and convention business to benefit Bloomington’s 36-area hotels. Its activities are funded through a 2 percent hotel revenue tax.

Bolin’s clients include Carlson Hotels, Builder’s Association of the Twin Cities and Time Warner Cable.
