Bluestreak Buys Takira

NEW YORK — In its second acquisition in as many months, Bluestreak has purchased Takira, a San Francisco-based digital marketing company.

The acquisition of three-year-old Takira expands the integrated marketing services and customer base of Bluestreak. The deal comes two months after the Newport, R.I.-based online marketing company snapped up e-mail marketer e2 Communications [IQ Daily, May 9]. Terms were not disclosed.

Takira develops online sweepstakes, promotions, campaigns and lead-generation programs for marketers like AT&T, Ebay and Microsoft. Members of the company’s executive team, including CEO Johnson Chao, chief operating officer Andrew Thelen and vp of client services Suzanne Van Spyk, will move over to Bluestreak.
