NEW YORK — Blimpie International Inc. has awarded its $15 million creative advertising account to The Kaplan Thaler Group after a review that included Fitzgerald & Co. in Atlanta and Earle Palmer Brown in New York, sources said.

Media buying continues to be handled by various regional agencies.

The review began in November. The 7-year incumbent, Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners in New York, did not participate.

Hasan & Co., a Raleigh, N.C.-based consultancy, handled the process.

The Atlanta-based client could not immediately be reached for comment.
