The fighter will appear in new spots beginning tonight from J. Walter Thompson/Chicago for the launch of Oscar Mayer’s new Big & Juicy brand, the first major hot dog launch since its flagship Wieners brand. Foreman appears with several of his children in the humorous campaign. The ads feature Foreman being ‘harassed’ by his children, as he dares them to eat Big & Juicy hot dogs.
Big & Juicy will be available in five varieties: Deli-Style Beef, Hot & Spicy, Original, Smokie Links and Quarter-Pound Beef, and the line could see a healthy $10-million push.
The timing of the ads couldn’t be better for the product launch. The ads break one week before Foreman’s title fight for the WBO championship, which is expected to be the last fight of his career.
