Pennsylvania-based Saint Vincent Health System has awarded Biggs/Gilmore Communications a $1-2 million assignment.

The agency will help to reposition the Erie, Pa.-based Saint Vincent’s key service line areas and will also provide strategic planning and marketing for the overall brand, said Cyndi Kochevar, vice president and account supervisor at the Kalamazoo, Mich., agency.

The assignment includes print, broadcast and interactive projects that will target new audiences, as well as physician-referral programs and internal communications.

The agency was chosen after an informal review that involved several other undisclosed participants, Kochevar said.

Saint Vincent executives contacted Biggs executives after they saw a Biggs ad for Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, in a healthcare marketing publication, according to Kochevar.

The health system named Elena Kambitsi as vp of marketing communications in January. Saint Vincent will continue to work with a local agency on community-based initiatives, Kochevar said.

Kambitsi could not be reached for comment at press time.

The business will be serviced with existing employees out of Biggs/Gilmore’s Kalamazoo headquarters, said Jane Tamraz, agency principal.
