Statistics show that men are less likely to seek out treatment for mental health issues than other genders, causing a major disparity between the number of men who suffer from depression and anxiety and those willing or able to ask for help. Social stigma is a major factor, and breaking down those walls is an ongoing process.

It is with this in mind that mental wellness brand BetterHelp has created its new spot titled “Want.” The seemingly simple question of “What do you want?” can cause a great deal of stress for those suffering from mental health issues, and it’s that desire to communicate personal needs with openness and honesty in a world that isn’t always prepared for that level of sincerity that is the central theme of this minute-long film.
