Electronics retailer Best Buy Co. Inc. has awarded its estimated $50 million national broadcast buying business to Starcom, Chicago, following a review.

Sources said Starcom outpaced the New York offices of OMD, Zenith Media and The Media Edge to win over BBA, Best Buy?s in-house agency. BBA, which bills more than $400 million a year, is by itself the fourth largest agency in Minneapolis and has won more than 50 awards in the past decade for its creative work.
