Bertucci’s Goes Live With Revamped Site

BOSTON Bertucci’s Brick Oven Pizzeria has launched a newly redesigned Web site. The work was done by the chain’s two agencies, Cronin & Co. in Glastonbury, Conn., and Wallwork & Curry in Boston.

The new seeks to underscore the authenticity and quality of Bertucci’s Italian fare. All pages throughout the site are headlined with the Bertucci’s logo and a glowing brick-oven flame in the background. The centerpiece of the home page is a series of black-and-white and color cross fades, including an elderly Italian man drinking a glass of red wine, and a close-ups of dishes such as Sicilian scallops and bruschetta.

“The new site is intended to bring Web communications in line with Bertucci’s new brand image,” said Dan Weingrod, vice president and managing director of Cronin’s digital marketing group.

The Northborough, Mass.-based client in April launched new ads tagged “Keepers of the flame.” Those executions were partly filmed on location in Europe, and all stressed the company’s commitment to serving up authentic Italian cuisine of the highest quality.
