Bernstein-Rein Looks Sharp for Stilletto

CHICAGO Super-premium spirits importer Stilletto Brands has tapped independent agency Bernstein-Rein as its lead advertising agency, the shop confirmed.

The Kansas City, Mo., independent agency will focus on the introduction of Stiletto Super Premium Vodka later this year. The vodka will be available in chocolate, vanilla and mint flavors. The agency will market the product through traditional broadcast and print advertising, as well as several nontraditional methods.

“One of the exciting things about launches today is the tremendous variety of integrated resources we employ,” said agency chief operating officer Steve Bernstein, in a statement. “Stiletto is truly our marketing partner. It’s a sophisticated brand with amazing potential, and together our goal is to create one of the premier names in the spirits industry.”

Billings for the assignment were not disclosed. Spending on super-premium brands such as Belvedere and Chopin is about $3 million a year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

Vodka is the dominant product in the spirits industry, accounting for nearly 27 percent of the distilled spirits sold in the U.S., according to the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States.
