Beringer Replaces Unkel As Head of VivaKi AOD

To run digital media trading operation

Stephan Beringer was named the new chief growth officer and president of Audience On Demand at VivaKi. He succeeds Kurt Unkel, who is leaving the company at the end of February.

Beringer had been chief growth and strategy officer for the digital technologies division of VivaKi parent Publicis Groupe, with oversight for DigitasLBi and Razorfish, among others. Like Unkel, who is moving over to WPP’s Team Detroit as chief digital officer, Beringer was identified by Adweek earlier this month as one of Publicis's most highly-regarded digital execs.

In his new role, Beringer will take charge of AOD, the digital media trading operation that is one of VivaKi’s fastest-growing practices and largest revenue drivers. Beringer will continue to be based in Paris; Unkel handled the job from Detroit.

In his previous Publicis Groupe role, Beringer was responsible for creating cross-agency client teams. He also led the holding company’s Adobe alliance, a responsibility he’ll incorporate into his new position. From 2009 to 2013, Beringer was international CEO for Digitas and Razorfish, where he built those networks across 11 international markets for clients like Audi, Procter & Gamble and Samsung. He was also responsible for the global integration of Digitas and LBi.
