The Milwaukee Advertising Club, suggesting the “noncreative” segment of the industry is too often neglected when it comes to official pats on the back, has initiated a new awards program for producers, salespeople and planners.
A top prize of $500 will be awarded to the winning entry in each of four categories: print production, ad selling skills, media planning and strategic advertising planning.
According to club president Curt Thompson, “This is a highly visible demonstration of our acknowledgement of the important contribution everyone associated with an advertising program makes to its success.”
Winners will be presented at the club’s holiday luncheon on Dec. 17.
“Traditional” creative staffers have not been forgotten, however.
The ad club this year mounted its own creative awards show in July, separate from the national Addys competition.
