BBDS Joins Forces With Noble

BBDS president Dick Sanderson has realized for several years that his agency needed to team up with another small specialty shop if it was to grow.

“In order to truly compete, to increase the size of the agency, it would take a lot longer today if we tried to do it alone,” Sanderson said.

Majority ownership of BBDS last week was acquired by Noble Communications. The Chicago-based agency will be merged into a new entity called Noble/BBDS/Chicago.

The new unit combines Noble’s food marketing specialty with BBDS’ business-to-business bent, as well as the agency’s more expansive media buying and planning and interactive capabilities, according to Sanderson.
