BBDO Puts New Faces on Dodge

DETROIT-BBDO, Southfield, Mich., the national agency for the Dodge division of DaimlerChrysler, has made several executive appointments on its Dodge account group.
Tom Szczepanski, joins the agency from Ross Roy Communications, Bloomfield Hills, Mich., BBDO’s sister shop. He assumes the role of executive vice president and director of account services, and is responsible for the account side management of the national Dodge business. He replaces John Hammond, who recently was elevated to president and chief executive officer of BBDO Detroit.
Szczepanski was previously a senior vice president and group account director at Ross Roy, where he managed communications for the agency’s Chrysler/Plymouth and Jeep business. Prior to Ross Roy, he worked for J. Walter Thompson, Detroit, and Doner in Southfield.
Also, Bill Freed was promoted to group senior vice president/management supervisor on Dodge truck; Michael Suchara was promoted to group senior vice president on Dodge car; and Scott Russell was hired to group senior vice president/management supervisor for Dodge large car and minivan.
Freed previously was a customer service management specialist on the Dodge car account. His new responsibilities include all national truck consumer communications and strategies. He replaces David Rodriguez, who recently was appointed executive vice president, director of account services at Ross Roy.
Suchara and Russell fill two new positions, duties for which were previously incorporated into one post that had been held by Michele White, who has left the agency.
Suchara, who joined BBDO in 1984, was previously a customer relationship management specialist. Russell joins BBDO from Ross Roy, where he had spent 10 years. ƒ
