BBDO to Break Ram Spot on Daytona 500

CHICAGO Dodge takes the expression, “Blowing the doors off,” literally in a new television spot for its Ram SRT-10 pickup truck breaking during the Daytona 500, Feb. 15, on NBC.

The ad, from BBDO in Detroit, opens with a variety of automobile doors landing in front yards, swimming pools, intersections and other locales. The spot then shows Nascar driver Ryan Newman driving his Ram truck home after a day at the track. As he parks it in his driveway, the path behind him is strewn with car doors.

The spot continues the brand’s “Grab life by the horns” tagline, and will air throughout the year on race broadcasts and other sports programming.
