Bay Furniture is hearing presentations this week from six Midwest shops for its $4 million account, a client executive said.

The Homewood, Ill., furniture chain asked agencies to present creative concepts to back a new store opening in Mokena, Ill., said Ali McHone, Bay’s director of marketing. The shop that pitches the winning idea will handle marketing for the rest of the year.

Incumbent Heisler Gordon & Associates, Chicago, is contending with five other shops for the full-service account, which includes media buying and planning, sources said.

McHone would not identify the contenders.

Heisler won the account in July 2001.
