Barnhart/CMI has acquired fellow Denver shop Reece and Co. for an undisclosed sum.
The deal boosts the agency’s billings to approximately $40 million, and brings accounts including the Vail Valley Marketing Board, Schwinn Bicycles and MCI Worldcom. The acquisition follows the death of Reece and Co. founder David Reece, 46, last month from cancer.
Reece’s staff of 12 moved into Barnhart/CMI’s offices last week, boosting the number of employees there to 70. Barnhart/CMI’s clients include Volant Sports, the National Jewish Medical & Research Center and Access Graphics.
