The aim of the Music Maker Relief Fund is to provide indigent Mississippi Delta blues musicians with the kind of assistance the Farm Aid concerts of the mid-1980s generated for the heartland’s struggling farmers.

E. James WhiteCommunications in Herndon, Va., is supporting the effort with a poster campaign designed to generate awareness, donations—and attendance at an Oct. 5 benefit concert.

The poster—”Grown men will weep, women will wail,” states the copy—was created by EJWC executive creative director Bill Puckett.

“Our agency is dedicated to understanding how cultural trends connect us to brands in an emotional way,” said agency president Matt White.
