Axa Shifts to OMD in Asia

Financial services giant Axa has moved its media account to Omnicom Group-owned OMD in several key Asian territories.

The regional pitch covered markets such as India, China, Hong Kong and Singapore.

“We are delighted to win the Axa business in the region. Axa is a dynamic brand with a long-standing history and our teams are looking forward to working with the client to capitalize on the huge growth potential in Asia,” said Maggie Choi, CEO of OMD’s Asia-Pacific operations.

Last year, Havas’ MPG was awarded the firm’s $50 million media business globally — but in Asia, the work had continued to be split among multiple agencies across various markets.

According to sources, MPG retained the business in Japan.
