Avoiding The Dog Days

A month before his work won best of show at the Advertising Club of Connecticut’s recent awards event, art director David Grigg decided to take a stab at opening his own shop.
Happy Dog reunites Grigg with copywriter Jeannie Credidio, both former employees of The Hughes Agency in Norwalk, Conn. The duo collaborated on the award-winning campaign for Beepwear, a watch that combines the time-keeping expertise of Timex with the paging capabilities of Motorola.
At the recent awards show, both Grigg and Credidio wore name tags with the name of their new creative boutique written across the top. The new shop is run out of Grigg’s home in Norwalk.
Grigg and Credidio are currently looking for office space and clients but report they are not lacking entertainment. That’s provided free of charge by Bailey, Grigg’s chocolate-colored labrador retriever whose mug shot will appear on all Happy Dog promotional materials.
