BOSTON McCarthy Mambro Bertino has hired Don Austen as associate creative director, a new position.

Austen, a copywriter, joined the Boston-based shop this week and will work on all agency accounts, including Atari and Tweeter. Austen reports to president and co-creative director Fred Bertino and co-creative director Jamie Mambro.

“What attracted us to Don, in the end, was his desire to do great work, to build relationships with clients so great work can get sold, and to have fun wherever possible,” said Bertino.
