Arnold’s Virginia Union Scores

McLean-Richmond Tandem Adds 3 Clients
ATLANTA–The McLean and Richmond, Va., offices of Arnold Communications have added three new pieces of business, the first since the consolidation of the two locations under president Rick Britton and chief creative officer Matt Smith, totaling approximately $1 million.
Stanley Furniture, a designer and manufacturer of wood furnishings located in Stanleytown, Va., has named Arnold agency of record without a review.
According to agency senior vice president of public relations Bob Ranson, Stanley executives saw Arnold present to the American Manufacturers Association last year for a piece of business that eventually went to Ogilvy Public Relations of Washington, D.C. When those client officials began considering hiring an agency this year after a history of project assignments to small shops, they contacted Arnold. The two parties reached an agreement, eliminating the need for a formal review.
Separately, ChainLinks Retail Advisors, a Tysons Corner, Va., association of independent real estate brokers who specialize in business space, has tapped Arnold to develop a strategic marketing program. The assignment includes collateral development and public relations support.
Four other undisclosed Virginia agencies pitched the ChainLinks business, said Ranson.
Finally, Arnold Communications was selected by American University’s Kogod School of Business in Washington, D.C., to develop marketing, interactive, public relations and advertising programs.
Billings for the individual accounts were not disclosed.
