Arnold has reached into the media agency ranks to find an executive to run its global Dell account.

George Pace, managing director of international clients at Universal McCann, will join Arnold early next month as global brand director on Dell. Pace, 47, will be based in Arnold's Boston headquarters and report to office president Pam Hamlin.

Microsoft was among the accounts that Pace managed at UM, which he joined last spring. Earlier in his career, he was managing director at Arc Worldwide and an account leader at Ogilvy & Mather, working on business that included IBM and Ford.

In a statement, Hamlin described Pace as a "smart, strategic, and successful brand leader who has a deep understanding of technology, IT, and B-to-B marketing."
