Arnold Account Exec Finds Breakaway Solution

Adam Sholley, who ran the Bell Atlantic account at Arnold Communications as executive vice president and group account director, is shoving off, lured like so many others these days by the promise of stock in an Internet company with plans to go public.
Sholley today moves to the client side as vice president of marketing for Breakaway Solutions. The Boston-based Web design firm and consultancy is a client of Arnold’s direct and Cipriani/Kremer units.
His decision to leave had more to do with finding an opportunity that will allow him to “grow and stretch” rather than any changes anticipated on the Bell Atlantic business, he said.
Arnold splits that account with The Lord Group in New York. A decision on which of its roster shops will handle the Baby Bell’s entry into the $80 billion long-distance market is anticipated as regulatory hurdles get cleared.
At Arnold, Sholley will be replaced by Pat D’Amico, an account executive who worked at the former Leonard/Monahan in Providence, R.I., and Holland Mark Martin in Boston prior to joining Arnold in 1998 as a management supervisor on Bell Atlantic.
