Is there something about Bud spots that inspires creatives to covet the director’s chair? Following in the footsteps of John Immesoete, group creative director who left DDB in Chicago in December to direct with Backyard Productions, group executive producer Greg Popp left DDB on Friday to direct for Supply and Demand, effective immediately. Popp has co-directed with Immesoete many ads for Bud and Bud Light, including ads in the “Real men of genius” campaign and ads featuring Leon, an egotistical football player.
