In the before times, Anheuser-Busch U.S. chief marketing officer Marcel Marcondes used to grab a beer with Wieden+Kennedy’s Neal Arthur and Karl Lieberman every week or two at a Belgian beer bar in New York City’s Flatiron District. The meetings had no agenda, it was just a time to hang out, catch up and maybe chat through some new ideas.

After the pandemic hit, the group decided to keep the tradition alive virtually, ending each week with a casual beer hang—which Marcondes said are listed on his calendar as “board meetings” to ensure they remain sacred and uninterrupted.
