Angel City Football Club (ACFC), the first-ever majority female-owned soccer team in the world, has launched its new logo ahead of the 2022 season.

ACFC revealed the new look in a rousing two-minute anthem video titled “Our House: Our Anthem.” Having chosen its official colors—Armour, Sol Rosa and Asphalt—the organization asked eight different artists to help it create an all-new iconic design.

Inspired by Los Angeles’ namesake, “the city of angels,” and its unforgettable pink sunsets, the badge features an angel, wings outstretched, taking flight against a monochrome background.

“We stand on the shoulders of giants, forging a path of change, impact and excellence,” said Kayla Green, head of marketing for ACFC, in a statement.
