Joel Machak has been appointed to the newly created post of vice president, executive creative director of Ambrosi and its ABD Group in Chicago. Machak, 49, reports to agency co-president Mark Pearson. ABD handles Sears, Roebuck and Co.; accounts served by Ambrosi include Office Depot, Bang & Olufsen and Sunbeam. Machak was group creative director and senior vice president of Publicis in New York. He also worked in Publicis’ Chicago office with clients such as OfficeMax, Whirlpool Home Appliances and Budget Rent A Car.
