Fairbanks, Alaska, which is located approximately 360 miles north of Anchorage, is home to the northernmost Denny’s in the world, as well as the northernmost Girl Scout troop and the northernmost Harley-Davidson outpost. Now it has another distinction: The northernmost Amazon air cargo hub.

Top line

According to a blog post, Amazon began operations at a new air gateway at Fairbanks International Airport in March 2021. It is the ecommerce giant’s second site in Alaska, which, of course, is the largest state in the U.S.—bigger than Texas, California and Montana combined.
