CHICAGO Paper Mate will hear final presentations on Friday from three Chicago shops about its $5 million account, the client confirmed.

Competing for the business are WPP Group’s Ogilvy & Mather; and independents Fusion Idea Lab and Tom, Dick & Harry, sources said. Barry Calpino, vice president and general manager at Paper Mate, declined to confirm the list; agency officials declined comment.

The incumbent, Interpublic Group’s McCann-Erickson in New York, is not competing for the business. The division of Newell Rubbermaid-owned Sanford in Bellwood, Ill.,
