Airline safety briefings were already quite long-winded affairs before the Covid-19 era, and new health guidelines have only made them more densely packed with information. But now, in a move unlike anything that’s come out of the travel industry since its collapse in March, Alaska Airlines has found a way to add a dollop of nostalgia that makes its expanded safety protocols easier to digest.

In a parody of Canadian synth-pop duo Men Without Hats’ “Safety Dance,” Alaska and its crew (yes, those are real Alaska employees) recast the 1983 hit as—what else?—a safety-themed video.
